Over many years, Catipilla has worked closely with vets, cat charities and feline experts to develop our range and create products that are appealing to a cat’s natural instincts. Our products give cats the opportunity to climb, stalk, rest, sleep, play, scratch and observe from high, all of which satisfy their natural and instinctive needs. How will my Catipilla be delivered if I order?
In the vast majority of cases, you will receive your product through our tried and trusted delivery partner DHL. For UK and European deliveries, this will be via the DHL Parcel land-based service. For all other destinations, shipment will be via the DHL Express air-freight service. Tracking is provided on all shipments.
When will I receive my Catipilla order?
We aim to get all orders out on the same week that the order is placed unless the order is placed on a Friday. Please leave between 1-4 working days for domestic shipments and 4-6 working days for international shipments. You can find shipping estimates on our Delivery Information page.
Can I mount a Catipilla onto plasterboard walls?
All of our units, except our Hammock range, can be mounted onto plasterboard walls. We recommend using specialist plasterboard wall plugs which can be found in most DIY stores. Our recommendation is to use this Fischer range of specialist wall plugs.
Can I mount a Catipilla onto a wooden fence?
Yes, providing that the wooden fence is thick enough to take a 5cm (2″) screw at the point at which it is secured.
What countries do you ship to?
We ship to 16 countries in all – UK, USA, France, Germany, Spain, Belgium, Ireland, Netherlands, Portugal, Poland, Canada, Austria, Sweden, Denmark, Italy & Switzerland. For anyone who wants to place an order outside of these countries, please get in touch directly through the ‘Contact’ page so we can explore quotes for individual shipments.
I don’t live in the UK but want to place an order. As the products would have to be shipped internationally, when will I have to pay for the taxes and duties owed on my order?
In most cases, taxes and/or duties owed on your order will be payable once your products arrive in-country. We don’t have the ability to collect local taxes and/or duties on our website for any country outside the UK, so these will be collected by your local Customs Department instead when the products reach the destination country. In our experience, Customs Departments tend to make contact via email so we recommend keeping a close eye on your email address if you have placed an international order. Please note that your products will not be released from the border until these tax and/or duties have been paid. Tax rates vary from country-to-country (and sometimes from state-to-state), but a simple guide can be found here.
Where are your materials sourced from?
Where possible, we source materials from the UK. A small number of materials are imported (such as sisal rope) to ensure we obtain the highest quality. All of our products are manufactured and assembled in the UK.
How do I mount your products?
We have designed our range in such a way to ensure that the mounting process is as easy as possible. We use screws and, where necessary, wall plugs to secure the products to the wall. Each product comes with a simple, step-by-step Installation Guide in the box. You can also watch the installation process for each unit in our range by visiting the Installation page.
Are your materials recyclable?
Our target is to have all of our products made from at least 85% recycled material and to be 100% recyclable at the end of life. All of our packaging is made from 100% recycled material and is 100% recyclable. We also manufacture and assemble all our products within the UK which greatly reduces our carbon footprint during the manufacturing cycle. Catipilla runs a paper-free office and we actively work to reduce our energy footprint.
For a bespoke installation, what distance do you recommend between each unit both vertically and horizontally?
We recommend a vertical distance between each Tread Plate of 40-60cm (16-24″). This will allow 2 Tread Plates to easily sit on a 90cm (35″) Pillar that makes up the Pro and Mini Cat Climbers, whilst ensuring that there is enough space between the Tread Plates to allow a cat to climb. Horizontally, we recommend a 25-40cm (10-16″) distance from unit-to-unit, although this is of course dependant on your cat’s ability to jump and their agility.
Can I choose the colour of my Catipilla?
Yes – there are various colour options now available. Please see the website to customise your own installation.
When will the other modules be available?
We have a number of modules that we want to bring to market at some point in the future but for now we’re focusing on the Climbers, High Plate Shelf, Hammock, TeePee, Scratcher and Climbing Pole. We are open to any ideas you may have, so if you want to see a component or have an idea that you want to share, please don’t hesitate to get in touch.
What weight will your products support?
Our products have been tested to be suitable for cats up to 8kg (18lbs) in weight.
What materials are your products made from?
All of our products are made from high-quality materials that are durable and will stand the test of time. Our range is also suitable for indoor and outdoor environments, but if you are installing outside, we suggest locating the units in a bright and airy location so the products can dry off if they become wet. The specific materials used in each product can be found in the ‘materials’ section on the individual product pages.
How are your products packaged?
We aim to use as little packaging as possible whenever we ship out product. We also try our utmost to minimise the amount of protective material we use inside the package itself, although we cannot remove this completely as we want to ensure that the products arrive in pristine condition. We use high-quality brown cardboard as this is the easiest and most cost-efficient type of cardboard to recycle.
Can I return my Catipilla order?
Yes, you can return any order within 30 days of delivery for a full refund. You can read our return policy here.
What payment options do you have?
We offer payment via PayPal and through most credit & debit cards. We also offer the opportunity to spread the cost of your payments or to defer payment by 30 days using Klarna (see below).
What is Klarna?
